District 10 Free Flight Envoy

Jim Mohan was involved in modeling as a kid with some .049 stick and tissue models. After college he entered the Air Force and spent twenty years in flying assignments and education and training.

He has been on the board of the Arizona Model Pilots Society for several years and has served as its president. He helped implement policies and processes that qualified the club as an AMA Leader

He has worked to establish a model aviation student club sponsored by the Air Force Junior ROTC at the high school near the AMPS field. Club members met with the cadets (and others) to help build a model kit throughout the school year. At least once per month, the cadets came to the field to fly with some of the AMPS members.

He is a sport flyer. He has participated in the annual Arizona Electric Festival in Apache Junction for the last 7-8 year.

He uses model aviation as the subject matter for his interest in educational technology. He has a web site and a YouTube Channel he uses to explore the use of these technologies.
